I have a 1962 "B" Model Mack Fire Engine for sale. Originally from East Hartford, Connecticut, where it was Engine 6, it has been in Vermont since around 1985. It was a trade to Middlesex Fire Equipment, and has since had three owners - me being the third. I believe it has always been garaged. Cab is original and very good, body was repainted - OK job. Truck starts first try and runs every time. I have six trucks and can only garage five, so am selling truck. $1,800 or best reasonable offer. I want it to go to a home where it will be preserved as a fire truck, versus sitting outside or being scrapped. Ken Morton, Williston, Vermont 802-879-4558 (11-7-14 - - 14-81)

It has a Cargo Chief Ford engine, Waterous Pump, wood extension ladder, 2 hard intake hoses, 1 hose reel with 1.5” hose, 300 gallon water tank, custom extended cab – 4 doors, Axe, fire extinguisher & Hook. This was originally at the North Apollo Fire department in Pennsylvania. It is 5 speed with working horn, 2 sirens, and red light. It is currently plated and inspected in NY State. The tires are in good condition, and more recently I had the electrical system redone – new coil, batteries, plug wires fuse system, etc. Also new master cylinder and brakes. I have a 1958 ALF 900 series pumper that I am trying to sell and save from the crusher. It starts and runs. I drove home to Eddington, ME from VT a few years ago. It was running and driving with an antique ME plate/registration a couple of years ago. It has a new alternator and recent gas line work as well. It has a continental V-8 gas dual ignition motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Currently the brakes are not working. The paint is faded and it has a little rust in the back officer's side compartment and along the driver's side fender. Both are still very repairable. The frame is very solid and the motor runs strong. It has a 750gpm pump that works but has not been flow tested. It has the original sireno mechanical siren and gumdrop rotator. It has the old GE two-way radio in it. I have the original owner's manual and parts book that goes with it. It came from the Alexandria Bay FD in NY state and I believe was made at the ALF factory in Elmira, NY. Some of the chrome has peeled off the headlights, but everything is still there. It is a cool old truck with tons of potential, but I do not have time or space for it. I am very open to offers and will work with any potential buyer to find it a good home. Pictures and a description can be found searching on craigslist in Maine under the heading "1958 American La France-Eddington". Asking $2700. Call 207-745-7372 or email Feel free to contact me with any question and concerns. (10-12-14 - - 14-74)

For Sale - 1935 Ford-Buffalo Pumper - 500 GPM Hale centrifugal pump. Very complete truck with ladder, siren, ax, spotlights, extinguishers, lots of nozzles and hose, original Buffalo suction hoses, and much more. 85HP V-8 engine was completely professionally rebuilt and has barely been driven since rebuild. Truck is a great driver with plenty of power. Fire pump works but it's been a while since I've run it. This truck served Meredith NH Fire Department as Engine 2 from 1935 to sometime in the sixties. My father bought it from the dept in 1969 and had it painted at that time. Odometer reads 5,155, which I believe to be about right. To be nice, the truck could use a paint job, but it's more than presentable in its current condition. Needs new rear tires and has some other fairly minor issues that should be addressed. Vehicle is roughly 21 feet in length and fits in a typical home garage bay. Truck is located in New Hampshire. $22,000 OBO. Call Mike Dodge at 239-784-1863 (7-3-14 - - 14-41)

FOR SALE: 1975 American LaFrance Pioneer III 1000gpm pumper, serial # P-16-4643. V-6 Detroit with 8040 original miles, Dana 6852-G 5-spd transmission, single speed rear. Shows 720.2 Hours on the meter. Believe it to be a 1000 gallon steel tank. Originally from Blue Mountain Lake, NY, then briefly to Dresden NY and Ticonderoga NY before being traded in on a new truck. I'm the second private owner since then. Runs great other than needing new batteries (these can be charged to start the truck but won't hold the charge more than a day). I haven't driven it on the road since I drove it home, just around the block occasionally. I put new fuel filters on it, otherwise its untouched. Doesn't seem to have any mechanical issues. Strong air brakes. It last pumped in 2006 so I can't verify its pumping ability now. I know it was a great pumping truck in 2004 - 2006 when I fought fires with it before it was retired. As you can see, the paint job is faded. It has rust issues in the lower cab corners, a scrape to the passenger side front fender, and rot where the rear running board supports meet the body under the back compartments. Some basic welding skills and a bit of time should be all that's needed to solidify these areas. Nice interior, lightbar and siren work great, reel rewind works great. Has booster hose, ladder and axe brackets, no loose parts there other than hard suctions but they are the wrong size for the truck so buyer can opt to take them or not. I hate to part with this truck, I was going to repair and restore it next year but need to let this one go because the opportunity has come up to get my department's original 1959 ALF back and I need to free up money and space to be able to do that. Asking $3100 or best reasonable offer. I would like to see it go to someone who plans to keep it intact and preserved rather than parted out, as it is fairly complete and has great potential with a little effort. Please call 518-586-6081 and leave message. (6-1-13 - - 13-43)

An American Original!! You can own a piece of American Firefighting History!! 1953 American LaFrance Fire Truck. This truck is fully in tact. Only things it is missing are the hoses and you! The V12 engine turns but currently does not run. It was running until last fall. The timing was off and we tried to adjust it. Because it has two distributors, when you get one side timed you then have to get the other side. That's where we got off and haven't messed with it since. There is nothing cosmetically wrong with this truck. With a bit of elbow grease you can be rolling around town in your open cab. Purchased it from a museum and well, now it's time to let it go. Truck has been kept inside a barn except for these pictures. Will consider all reasonable offers.Know we're going to take a bath, so all I ask is make the water lukewarm! Truck was professionally repainted in 2008. New tires (new Sumitomo steers and recapped Goodyear drives) in 2008, 98% tread remaining (approximately 2,000 miles on tires). Powder coated single piece wheels. Truck and engine (305 CID V6) have 11,000 miles. Engine runs better than new with new fuel pump, lines and Holly 300 2-bbl installed 2011. Pertronix electronic ignition installed 2011. Truck cruises comfortably at 65 MPH. Receiver trailer hitch (and light hook ups) with electric brake controller. 4-speed manual transmission with 2-speed rear axle. All lights, siren are operable (spots not currently hooked up). Back up lights also function as rear scene lighting. Truck comes equipped with many spares and fittings. Approximately 600 feet of 2.5 and 1.5-inch hose (leaky -- mostly for show only). Spare engine parts. One set of turnout gear (coat, trousers, helmet). Pumps well but needs help to initially pull suction (you won't win any pumping contests with this truck). I have a vacuum primer from another truck but it is not installed. Period correct Motorola radio (not installed). It's a fun truck and it saved our farm during that last few years of drought, but newly completed irrigation system makes this truck surplus to our needs. This truck is ready to go to work and then hit the parades and shows on the weekends. Our grandchildren will be sorry to see it go. Price for fully equipped truck and spares: $9,000 OBO (Price is less if you don’t want all the fire equipment) Photos at http://s160.photobucket.com/albums/t172/stovebltr/Milliman/Milliman%20Fire%20Truck/ Please call John @ 240-925-1521 or Email (2-23-13 - - 13-15)

For Sale 1978 Ford F615E Fire Pumper 1000 gallon tank 750 gpm pump 6810 actual miles Single axle with split rear Gas engine 5+2 speed manual transmission. 20" tires. We took this truck in on trade and at the time of the trade-in it was actually being used by the Gilbertown Alabama Volunteer Fire Department so it does run and pump. The research we were able to do indicates that this truck was probably manufactured in November 1978 by PAJ Industries in Rogersville, Alabama. Trucks like this one had previously been manufactured by the American Fire Pump Company of Battle Creek, Michigan. The truck was called the Plain Jane and was designed to be a rugged, durable workhorse. It seems that there were three models of the Plain Jane...the Special, the Streamlined, and the Super. We believe that this particular truck is either the Special or the Streamlined model. It comes with an extension ladder, two large suction hoses, and a mounted hose reel with hose (not sure whether the hose is in usable condition). We also have a use and care manual that came with the truck. We do not know the history of the truck prior to it being owned by the Gilbertown Alabama Volunteer Fire Department but believe that they might have been the original owners since the mileage is so low. For several years immediately preceding the trade-in, pump testing and regular annual maintenance was performed by us. The truck has a small amount of rust. The worst is on the doors for the rear compartment. Also the passenger side has some scratches where it looks like someone side-swiped something. It is scratched but not dented here. The back bumper has a small dent. The upholstery in the cab is in good condition, but the floor matting on the driver's side needs to be replaced. We are asking $7500 or best offer. Please feel free to call us at 800-593-2462. (1-1-13 - -13-05)
