This fire truck served the small village of Evart, Michigan. It is in excellent condition both mechanically and cosmetically. There is no rust or corrosion on the vehicle as it was stored inside except when on fire runs. The paint is an excellent repaint done some years ago and does not have any flaws taking its age into account. Motor is in excellent running condition as is the running gear. Interior is stock original and in very good condition. Tires are in very good condition. Bodywork of cab an hose bed is smooth with no flaws. Truck has been on display and also in dry storage for several years but is run periodically.
Odometer reading is 3900 and is believed correct, judging by the overall condition of the truck itself. I am the second private owner since leaving the Evart, MI Fire Department.
A set of correct fire department wood ladders, partially restored, comes with the truck. Axes and pry bar are included.
Recommend in person inspection or survey of vehicle to mitigate any concerns.
The only cons noted below are 1) some safety glass delamination on front windshield that can be corrected by replacing; 2) Engine Tachometer for pump had broken bezel which caused tach face to suffer corrosion. Replacement tachometer goes with truck ; 3) All wiring on engine is original OEM wiring and could stand replacing 4) Overhead ladder rack on truck was added by FD. and no ladder was acquired for it. 5) Fire Department removed 6 Volt siren so one needs to be acquired.
I would recommend new owner re-paint the running boards and tailboard with silver bridge paint to break-up the solid red appearance of truck.
Otherwise a clean, rust free, very low mileage survivor in excellent condition. Clear Michigan title.
Asking price $12,500.00 My contact phone number is (269) 963-FIRE evenings Eastern Standard Time. Truck is located in Battle Creek, MI.
