1998 GMC Ambulance (9-14-15 – – 15-71)

Ex-Charleston, WV truck 436. 4-wheel drive 1 ton dually GMC chassis with Wheeled Coach body. Approximately 138,000 total miles, but only 82,000 on factory diesel 6.5 liter V8. Full maintenance log from the FD available. Body is in great shape, engine has some questions.

I bought it in 2004 for use as a farm truck for my wife’s horse business. She decided the compartments required her to be too organized, and she preferred a simple box truck. So I used it as a work truck for my steel erection business, and it can really haul! But the engine started acting strange, and I parked it until I had time to diagnose and repair. It still ran, but not good. I think it’s a fuel flow issue, but I’m only a shade tree mechanic, so don’t put any stock in my guesses. It’s been sitting for longer than I want to think about, and is no longer on my to-do list. So it’s time for someone else to play.

Everything worked when I parked it except the engine as discussed above. There’s no battery, so I don’t know what still works. What you see is what you get, and have fun. Phil Hodge Call (423) 309-8271 or email with questions. $5,000 obo
